Zhue Azuaje

Zhue, originally from Venezuela, joined the Housing and Consumer Justice Program in May 2024. Before joining the LAJC, Zhue practiced family law at a private firm in Richmond. Zhue received their B.S. from the College of William & Mary, and their J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, where they received the Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award; the Pro Bono Certification Award; and the Richmond Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Award. During law school, Zhue was heavily involved in pro bono case work and student leadership, and they were a summer intern with the LAJC’s Immigrant Justice Program. In their spare time, they enjoy gardening, rock climbing, camping, and hiking.
