In 2019, our team helped 17 workers—victims of labor trafficking, violations of overtime laws, and breaches of their H-2B migrant visa contracts—file a lawsuit against their employer, a concrete company based near Richmond. These brave individuals had suffered from repeated serious abuses including seeing their passports confiscated, working excessive hours without adequate compensation, being forced to perform work not included in their contracts, sleeping in cramped and insufficient housing, and more.

After months of contentious litigation our team was able to reach a settlement totaling over $500,000 dollars for our clients.
