WORK WITH THE LEGAL AID JUSTICE CENTER

PRO BONO AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Over our history, the Legal Aid Justice Center has had the assistance of local attorneys who have donated countless hours of unpaid work done pro bono.  We welcome collaborations from members of our local bar associations.  To volunteer your services, please contact Kathleen Caldwell (Charlottesville), Steve Dickinson (Petersburg), Marcel Slag (Richmond) and Tim Freilich (Northern Virginia.)

We have had a number of local residents interested in a long-term volunteer experience join us.  In addition, we often host students from our local colleges and high schools seeking an internship experience.  With a small support staff in each office, we welcome your help on a variety of clerical and organizational tasks that we assign depending on your training, interests, and background.  Fluent Spanish speakers are particularly encouraged. If you are interested, please contact Dori Arnette (Charlottesville), Delphine Claiborne, (Petersburg), Gloria Crook (Richmond) or Pamela Banner (Northern Virginia)  who will send you more information about our volunteer program.
